Robert Heijkoop was born in Amsterdam in 1939. Self-taught artist. Heijkoop’s works nestle between Brueghel and Horst Antes. His works exude an enigmatic and surreal atmosphere. Focused on satire and overloaded with irony, Heijkoop points out social weaknesses such as hypocrisy. Heijkoop has exhibited in many countries, both solo and in groups. The artist works and lives in Ibiza.
