About us
When you say vintage; you say Decennia Design. We are passionate collectors of Midcentury Modern design from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.
We started in 2002 in a former bakery, after which Decennia Design has quickly grown into one of the largest vintage shops from the Netherlands. After 24 years we decided to focus more on online selling and a more, high end, collection. We moved to a better location with better conditions for our furniture. Both private and business customers are still welcome to take a look every 2nd Saturday of the month or on appointment. We will still be renting out our collection to set dressers for movies, series or commercials.
Christiaan and Angelique
In 2002 Christiaan seized the opportunity to make a profession out of his passion; vintage design. Together with his wife Angelique he started their business. He has now built up an extensive network and enormous knowledge and buys the most beautiful items. Angelique supports him with her administrative knowledge and sales experience and finds satisfaction in (customer) contacts.
Staff members
Since August 2018 Manon has been taking care of online orders, reservations and planning, photography and the website. She has a creative background and has worked for years as a project manager at an advertisement agency. She also completed a study interior design.
Elko is also a passionate collector of vintage design. He is happy to pass on his knowledge to us and our customers. He previously worked at DHL. He has been working at Decennia Design since April 2016. He processes orders, critically checks incoming new items and repairs when necessary. If you ask him for advice in our showroom, his talent for imagination, design and his special taste will come to the fore.
After his retirement Ad decided he wanted to stay active. He now works for several hours at Decennia Design and restores our furniture.
